Team for Brighton
hoping to have 2 more signings into help the relegation scrap but basing my team on current squad.

Brighton play heavily through the centre of the park so I would go with 3-4-1-2 overload the midfield to stop them playing and allow Ngakia + Arthur space out wide

Fabianski
Diop Oggy cress
Ngakia Soucek Rice Arthur
Fornals
Antonio Haller

Re: Team for Brighton
sounds like Soucek may be on the bench

On new signing Tomas Soucek...

"He's only had a few days' training but he's been at a training camp in their winter break. He's got an ability to get forward and cover a lot of ground for us during the season.

"We're just trying to weigh up where he is. I'm going to have him involved tomorrow but it could be a bit quick for him. We'll assess that."

Re: Team for Brighton
Can't stress enough how tomorrow is a HUGE game for us - the ramifications of it could reverberate for years.

Lose tomorrow, and we likely drop into the relegation zone - with a ridiculously tough run of games in the next two months which could see us firmly rooted to the bottom three until mid-April.

After Brighton, we've really only got one more game which we might (at a push) be considered favourites - Southampton at home - until early April.

Otherwise, we play Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Wolves, Tottenham and Chelsea.

We need three points tomorrow, desperately, to take some form and a tiny bit of confidence into that string of games.

If we do not improve, significantly, somehow in that tough run of games - then we have a month to save ourselves and we might need to beat Newcastle, Burnley, Watford and Villa in quick succession. That's do-able, but how often have we ever really had such a run of form in recent years?

Pelle's profligacy, and the clowns' incompetence, has left us hanging by a thread.

And that's not really expecting too much for a football club at our level.

Re: Team for Brighton
I'll tell you what I expect.

I expect that before the window opens, we already have targets in place to strengthen areas in which we identify as a problem.

I then expect that before the window opens, work is done on signing these players as earlier in the window they sign, the more games they have to have an effect.

What I don't expect:

I don't expect every target to come off, but with enough planning we should know this before the window is even open.

I don't expect us to hang on letting games go by, which we lose because our squad is crap.

I don't expect a scatter gun approach in a panic without any real thought.

Jesus some people need to have a reality check.

Lots of teams, no dozens of teams are all scrambling around last minute to buy and sell players its not just us!

I don't know what people expect sometimes.

3 minutes for him to complete transfer to be eligible.

Just goes to show, that even if we do get him what clueless knee jerkers we have running our club

Get the new boys straight in there - we badly need an injection of new energy in the side. I don't want to see Lanzini anywhere near this - no room for passengers.
